The Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act ensures that employers provide employees with the safest working environment possible. Accidents and injuries cannot be prevented entirely, but OSH Act regulations help to decrease their frequency.

    • The U.S. Congress passed the OSH Act in 1970 with the intent of assisting employers with providing healthy working conditions and safety by providing information, research, training and education on occupational safety.
