Business Grants for Women in Eco Tourism
Eco-tourism businesses, like some nonprofit and community organizations, support sustainability and community empowerment, conservation, and education, and are eligible to apply for certain public and private grants. Women-run projects may be eligible for grants specifically for women.

Local Government Grants

Private donors give grants for philanthropic, scientific, and environmental activities. Search for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) on the Foundation Center website.
Grants for Individuals

An entrepreneur in eco-tourism may find a grant as an individual with innovative ideas/projects. Examples include the Skoll Foundation's Award for Social Entrepreneurs, Clorox's Green Heroes grant program, and National Geographic's Conservation Trust grant program.
Government Loans

Government more commonly funds businesses through low-interest loans. For information on loans, go to Business.gov and sba.gov. Note the Rural Business Loan Program from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
