What Is a Boonie Hat For?

A boonie hat is a style of hat popular with the military for the purposes of both comfort and camouflage. The government-issued hats are known for their distinctive wide brims. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Types

    • Boonie hats are typically made from wind-resistant poplin and cotton. The traditional styles are olive drab green, woodland camouflage, desert camouflage and tiger stripe camouflage.
