Mixing

Chlorine bleach should not be mixed with other household cleaners, such as ammonia and vinegar. Mixing products can lead to toxic fumes.

Skin Irritation

Some people experience skin irritations when they use bleach for cleaning purposes or when wearing clothing that has been washed using bleach.

Fabric

Chlorine bleach can take the color out of fabrics. One should be careful to not allow bleach to come in contact with non-colorfast fabrics.

Warning

Chlorine bleach can cause burns to the skin and eyes, and is harmful if swallowed. If contact is made with eyes they should be flushed with water for 15 minutes. If ingested one should not induce vomiting and contact poison control.
