The University of Minnesota says that mold can be caused by the bacteria in our breath as it lands on a moist surface in the home, or by allowing fruits and vegetables to rot without throwing them away.

You do not need to be allergic to mold to be affected by it. Even people that do not have allergies can develop symptoms such as itching and sneezing due to exposure to mold inside the home.

Mold can be detected by its characteristic blue or black color. If you see mold forming in your home contact a mold removal specialist immediately. The mold you see may only be a part of your mold problem.
