Homeopathy: Lycopodium

Lycopodium has been used to treat a multitude of ailments since the Middle Ages. This herb is also known as "wolf's claw" because the root resembles a wolf's foot.

    • The homeopathic remedy is made by extracting the pollen from the Lycopodium spores. It is then mixed with milk sugar.

    Treatments

    • Lycopodium is primarily used to treat digestive problems and anxiety. Lycopodium spores can also be used externally for wounds and eczema.

    Digestion

    • Lycopodium is an important remedy for digestion problems. These include diarrhea and constipation, bloating, gas and chronic bouts of irritable bowl syndrome.

    Anxiety

    • Lycopodium is used to treat common issues caused from anxiety such as an intense fear of failing and feeling a sense of inferiority. Lycopodium also treats anticipatory anxiety such as fear of public speaking, stage fright and performance anxiety.

    Other Uses

    • Lycopodium is also used to treat skin problems such as eczema and flesh wounds. Sexual problems in males such as erectile dysfunction have been treated with Lycopodium as well.
