An Electrical Supervisor is required to oversee the installation and repair of power lines.

Electrical Supervisors are usually hired to oversee workers installing and repairing electrical equipment at a facility or site. They have managerial experience, possess electrical engineering degrees or equivalent training and experience and promote a safe work ethic.

  1. Purpose

    • An Electrical Supervisor must insure all workers comply with government and safety standards. It is also the supervisor's job to plan and oversee tasks.

    Education

    • Electrical Supervisors need a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering or a related field. They can also have equivalent technical experience or training.

    Work

    • Electrical Supervisors are generally expected to be knowledgeable in one or more of the following areas: electrical systems, power distribution, control circuits, transformers, scale calibrations and programmable logic controllers.

    Skills

    • Electrical Supervisors should possess good managerial skills and know how to deal with administrative work. They should know how to analyze existing methods and implement improvements.

    Salary

    • The average expected salary of an Electrical Supervisor is about $74,000 a year. Although the salary range can be as low as $64,000 or as high as $89,000 annually, the company, employee credentials, and years of experience affect these numbers most.
