For the person who is a stickler for detail, has high listening comprehension and good handwriting, this could be the perfect job.

According to a job description posted by LectureNotes.USCD.Edu, a note-taker writes down anything of consequence that is spoken at each lecture for which he is hired.
Meet with the Professor

The note-taker must also meet with the professor to explain the student's absence and their role in the class. They should inquire about class rules, obtain a syllabus and determine if there are any special events to consider, like field trips.
