Information on Serge Lutens Fragrances

The inspiration for Serge Lutens' fragrances sprang from a trip he first took to Morocco in 1968, which made him want to reinterpret the sights and smells he experienced as elegant scents.

Unisex

Santal de Mysore Eau de Parfum was created for both men and women; it's described as smooth and sensual. Another unisex perfume is Fille En Aguilles, a name that means "girl in needles."

Women

Most of Serge Lutens' scents are for women. They include Feminite Du Bois (a musky, cedar smell), Clair De Musc (an oriental fragrance) and A La Nuit (a blend of musk, white honey, green shoots and jasmines).

Men

There are few fragrances specifically for men in the collection. One is Koublai Khan, a limited-edition musk that counts civet, ambergris and patchouli among its ingredients.

Popularity

Some of Serge Lutens' most popular scents are Chergui EDP, which is named after a hot Moroccan wind, and Five O'Clock Au Gingembre EDP, a perfume inspired by the English ritual of afternoon tea.
