Fast Scar Remover

Scarring is a natural function of the body to heal and protect wounds, but it can leave the skin looking old, wrinkly and unpleasant. Thankfully, there are fast and pain-free techniques to remove scars or decrease their visibility.

  1. Punch Grafts

    • Punch grafts remove a circular area of tissue, including the scar. Then, skin from another area of the body, most commonly the earlobe, is removed and placed over the area where the scar had been.

    Surgical Revision

    • This technique, rather than removing the scar, aims to blend it naturally with the skin surrounding it. The scar stays put, but becomes much less noticeable.

    Dermabrasion

    • Dermabrasion sprays the scarred area with a freezing agent and then sands it down to reveal smooth, clear skin tissue.

    Chemical Peels

    • Chemical peels place strong chemicals directly on the scar to ultimately dissolve it.

    Ointments

    • There are many over-the-counter ointments, such as Avosil, that aid in reducing the visibility of scars.
