Pros of SpringFree Mattresses

Latex mattresses are incredibly resilient and can be expected to last up to 20 years. Latex provides a soft sleeping surface that cradles the sleeper's body and pushes back to provide support. In addition, latex mattresses do not hold heat the way other foam mattresses do.

Cons of SpringFree Mattresses

The biggest drawback to latex mattresses is that they are expensive. A queen size SpringFree set will start around $1,899, compared to a Sealy innerspring queen set, which will start around $699.

Manufacturing Process

SpringFree mattresses are made using the Dunlop process. The Dunlop process whips together rubber particles, soap and water until the foam has acquired the consistency of cream. Steam at 220 degrees is then used to set the foam.

Levels

The SpringFree mattress line is composed of four levels with the price increasing by level. The first two levels are tight top mattresses, meaning they have no pillow top. The third level is a pillow top mattress while the fourth level is a box top mattress. Within each level, Sealy provides multiple mattresses to satisfy customers who prefer different levels of firmness while sleeping.

Allergies

SpringFree mattresses are constructed of synthetic latex to avoid any consumer allergies. Synthetic latex products have not been shown to pose any danger to people with latex allergies.
