Symptoms of a Head Injury and Neck Misalignment
Also known as vertebral subluxations, neck misalignment, along with head injuries, are often the result of trauma or injury to the head or spine. This trauma can come from car accidents, sports injuries, blunt force trauma or simply sleeping in a certain position. Head and neck issues are serious health concerns that should be evaluated by a health care professional immediately.

Stiffness
-
Both head injuries and neck misalignment (particularly of the C6 vertebrae), can cause stiffness of the neck. Neck stiffness is felt as the muscles of the neck become tight or rigid.
Headaches
-
Headaches are associated with both head injuries and vertebral subluxation. Headaches can range in severity from a mild headache to a severe, debilitating migraine.
-
Impairment
-
Both issues can also lead to changes in behavior such as impaired hearing, vision, sense of smell and taste.
Behavior
-
Irritability, nervousness, amnesia or other unusual behaviors can occur because of head injuries or neck misalignment, specifically of the C1 vertebrae.
Neck Misalignment

Other symptoms of neck misalignment include insomnia, high blood pressure, dizziness, sinus issues, laryngitis, sore throat, fainting spells and crossed eyes.
Head Injury
-
Additional symptoms of a head injury include unequal pupils, inability to move limbs, loss of consciousness, drowsiness, convulsions, lack of coordination, slurred speech and vomiting.
