Symptoms of Bronchoalveolar Cell Carcinoma

It is estimated that one out of every three cancer deaths is due to lung cancer. Bronchoalveolar cell carcinoma is a subtype of lung cancer that accounts for up to 5 percent of all bronchogenic cancers.

  1. Coughing

    • One of the top noted symptoms of bronchoalveolar cancer is coughing. Coughing can be mild to severe in nature, and as the cancer progresses, it can be extremely violent. Violent coughing can lead to coughing up blood, which is known as hemoptysis.

    Chest Pain

    • Approximately one out of every four people with lung cancer will experience chest pain. Chest pain can be persistent, dull and achy.

    Shortness

    • Shortness of breath can occur due to fluid collecting in the lungs or the spreading of the cancer within the lungs.

    Repeated Infection

    • Due to the compromised condition of the lungs, it is not uncommon for individuals with lung cancer to experience repeated occurrences of lung infections such as pneumonia or bronchitis.

    Other Symptoms

    • The spreading of cancerous cells or the chemical secretions due to the cancer can cause various other symptoms, such as seizures, fever, weakness, changes in vision, weight loss, fatigue and anemia.
