Nero Express creates data discs from files that reside on your hard drive. By clicking the "Data Disc" option from the initial drop-down menu, you enter the utility that allows you to easily browse and add files for burning to disc. Boot discs can also be created with this application.
Audio Discs

Choose the "Audio CD" function from the initial drop-down menu to create audio CDs. You will be able to add music titles from files already located on your PC's hard drive and create the ultimate audio CD. Music codecs are instantly converted to the appropriate playback format when burned through Nero Express.

DVDs can be easily backed up with the rip and burn function of Nero Express. By simply inserting a DVD into the DVD drive, Nero Express will allow you to rip the contents of that disc for storing and viewing on your PC or to burn to a playable DVD.
Combination Discs

Combination data and audio discs can also be created with this application. By simply choosing the "Audio and Data" option, you can add both types of files to the CD or DVD being created and burn both file types to the hard media. This is exceptionally important when creating presentations.
MP3 Discs

Nero Express also allows for MP3 format burning for playback in an appropriate device. MP3 format allows music to be compressed into much smaller files than WMA, allowing for more music to be stored on a single CD. Many newer vehicles come equipped with in-dash CD players that can read this format.
