Difference Between Ford F-150 & Ford F-250

Ford makes a full line of trucks, ranging from the Ranger to the F-450. The most popular models are the F-150 and F-250 due to their size, pricing and range of options.
Engines
The F-150 offers a choice of three engines, a 4.6 liter 2 valve V8, a 4.6 liter 3 valve V8 and a 5.4 liter V8. The F-250 also offers three engine types, the same 5.4 liter V8 as in the F-150, a 6.8 liter V10 and a 6.4 liter diesel V8.
Towing
The F-150 towing capacity ranges based on the engine size. The range is 5,400 pounds for the 4.6L 2 valve to 11,300 pounds for the 5.4L. The F-250 towing range is from 8,300 pounds for the 5.4L V8 to 12,500 pounds for both the 6.8L V10 and the 6.4L diesel.
Fuel capacity
The F-150 has the option of either a 26- or 36-gallon tank. The F-250 has two tank sizes: a 38 gallon for long wheel base trucks and a 30.5 gallon for short wheel base models
Transmission
The F-150 comes with a four-speed automatic in models equipped with the 4.6L 2 valve engine and a six-speed automatic in models with the larger engines. No manual transmission is offered. The F-250 comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, all models offer a five-speed automatic as an option.
Pricing
The F-150 price ranges from $20,855 for the base model to $41,665 for the Harley Davidson edition. The F-250 price range is from $26,275 for a base model to $57,900 for the Harley Davidson edition.
