LCD TVs have more limitations on viewing angles than plasma TVs. The picture will be less bright and vivid when viewed from the side on LCD TVs.
Motion Resolution

Plasma and LCD TVs illuminate their screens using different methods. Plasma screens are self illuminating, while most LCD TVs use a constantly shining back light.

LCD TVs are usually brighter than plasma TVs. Plasma TVs provide deeper black levels than LCD TVs.
