Difference Between XBox 360 Arcade & Pro

As of 2009, Microsoft offers its popular Xbox 360 console in two standard bundles: the Xbox 360 Arcade and the Xbox 360 Elite. The Xbox 360 Pro is no longer sold in retail stores.

Cost

The Xbox 360 Arcade costs significantly less. As of December 2009, the Arcade package costs $199.99, and the Elite package retails for $299.99

Headset

The Xbox 360 Arcade does not include a gaming headset, which is required to communicate with other players in online games. The Xbox 360 Elite does come with a headset.

Capacity

The Xbox 360 Arcade does not include a high-capacity hard drive for storing data. The Xbox 360 Elite comes standard with a 120 gigabyte hard drive for storing data, movies, music and game information.

Compatibility

The Xbox 360 Arcade and the Xbox 360 Elite are capable of playing all Xbox 360 games. The Xbox 360 Elite is backwards-compatible with the original Xbox and supports more than 300 games from that system.

Additional features

Both packages come standard with an Xbox LIVE Silver Membership, and the Elite contains a free trial of Netflix that can be used to stream movies through the console. The Xbox 360 Elite also comes bundled with two games.
