One of the most obvious differences is the size of each item. Mini notebooks are considerably smaller than laptops, often less than half the size of an average laptop with a 15.4-inch screen.

The sticker price is usually much lower for a notebook, with few models exceeding the $500 mark. Laptops, however, typically start at $500 and can reach as high as several thousand dollars.
