    The Wonka Brand

    • The Willy Wonka brand was originally licensed by candy company Breaker Confections in 1971 for the purpose of creating merchandising tie-ins to the upcoming film, "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." Breaker became Willy Wonka Brands in 1980. Nestle acquired Sunmark Companies, parent of Willy Wonka Brands, in 1988 and renamed the division the Willy Wonka Candy Factory in 1993.
