Genuine Oriental rugs are made only in Asia, India or in the Arabian or Balkan peninsulas. They are knotted by hand, and are never machine made. Oriental rugs are higher quality and last longer than other types of rugs. Does this Spark an idea?

Like other types of rugs weavers use a loom to tie knots, however Oriental rugs are hand-tied directly to the foundation instead of being glued. Designs are created line by line, horizontally.
