Stress is a common occurrence in the modern world. If you are under significant stress, you may experience symptoms such as headaches, dizziness and nausea. These symptoms also occur in many other conditions and diseases, including serious diseases such as brain tumors.

  1. Response to Stress

    • When circumstances occur that our subconscious mind views as a threat, it triggers physiological processes, such as an increase in blood pressure, release of gastric acid and a rise in blood sugar, according to Stress.org. This is an inherent response and is part of man's survival instinct.

    Result of Stress

    • Repeated episodes of stress responses can lead to physical ailments such as heart disease, stroke, migraines, hypertension and ulcers. These can manifest as chest pains, accelerated heartbeat, depression and diarrhea or constipation, as well as nausea and dizziness.

    Brain Tumor Symptoms

    • In addition to headaches, brain tumors can cause generalized symptoms such as seizures, personality changes, and memory and speech problems, according to MayoClinic.com. Intracranial pressure can also cause vomiting, vision changes and drowsiness.

    Focal Symptoms

    • More localized and specific, or focal, symptoms can actually pinpoint the tumor location. These symptoms include buzzing or ringing in the ears, blurred or double vision, paralysis, lack of sensation on the skin, balance issues and difficulty walking.

    Action

    • If you experience any of these stress or brain tumor symptoms, you should seek medical attention to have them evaluated and receive a correct diagnosis.
