Public Relations Intern Job Description

Landing a great internship can give a job candidate a leg-up on her competition, if it's one that meets the core responsibilities of the job. An internship in public relations can be an opportunity to meet key community contacts, write press releases, attend press-worthy events and assist in brand development.

  1. Core Strengths

    • Novices may be expected to attend events on behalf of the organization by accompanying a manager or marketing liaison.

    Marketing

    Administrative Tasks

    • Every internship may require a level of routine administrative tasks, including organizing meetings, handling phone calls, e-mail communication, Internet research and even errand running.
