Prior to launching the Milly line, designer Michelle Smith studied at New York's Fashion Institute of Technology. Upon graduating, she continued her studies at the prestigious l'Ecole Supérieure des Arts et techniques de la Mode (ESMOD) in Paris and interned for brands such as Hermes, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton and Torrente.
