Reconcile is a veterinary drug. It is the brand name for the drug Fluoxetine. It was released in 2007 for veterinary use.

  1. History

    • Fluoxetine is a selective serotonin uptake inhibitor (SSRI) that was developed to treat humans for anxiety, depression and other disorders. The most common brand name of this medication for humans is Prozac.

    Action

    • A chemicals in the brain called serotonin is linked to many behaviors. Fluoxetine helps to maintain serotonin levels, which may help control your pet's anxiety and unwanted behaviors.

    Side Effects

    • Drowsiness, loss of appetite, upset stomach and lethargy are common side effects. Sudden aggression in pets that were not aggressive before may occur.
