Patients suffering from rosacea should avoid alcohol. Mothernature.com also recommends that patients stay away from foods containing Tabasco, horseradish chili peppers, and other spicy condiments and sauces.
Sun

It is essential to avoid the sun as much as possible because sun exposure can cause flare-ups. If going out in the sun cannot be avoided, then use a sunscreen that contains titanium dioxide.

Tomato Mask

A smooth paste mixture of four pureed tomatoes with finely ground oatmeal (just enough to make it into a smooth paste) and 1 tsp. honey can help in curing Rosacea. The mask needs to be kept on for 10 minutes and then washed off.
Yogurt

Another home remedy for reducing rosacea is by applying a thick paste mixture of yoghurt and oatmeal as a mask. Once the mask dries, wash off with warm water.
Sulphur

Sulphur powder can also be used in a paste in combination with a beaten egg white, bottled water and fuller's earth, which is an absorbent soil resembling clay. Remove the mask once dried. This remedy can help in preventing and treating Rosacea.

Before using any of these home remedies on the face, it is essential to do an elbow test to check for potential allergic reactions. Apply the remedy on the inside of the elbow. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse it off and check for any reactions.
