Hospital nursing offers many options. Nurses can work a variety of shifts in a diverse field of departments, including admitting, pediatrics, critical care, intensive care, emergency care, surgical, or labor and delivery.
Home Health Care Nursing

According to the Visiting Nurse Associations of America, a home health or "visiting" nurse is one who tends to patients in their homes, usually after they have been discharged from a hospital and need follow-up care.

Nurses who work in physician's offices often see patients for preventive care or to treat minor illnesses or injuries.

Nurses who specialize in geriatrics will often work in nursing or advanced care homes, sometimes with Alzheimer's patients or those needing constant care.
