Zodiac Signs & Compatibility
The signs of the zodiac, derived from the teachings of Astrology, are assigned to individuals based on their date of birth. Astrology further groups the signs of the Zodiac into four elemental categories, Earth, fire, water, and air signs. Compatibility between signs is supposed to be similar to these elements in nature.
-
Fire
-
The fire signs of the zodiac are Aires (March 21 - April 19), Leo (July 22 - August 23), and Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21). A fire sign personality is bright, commanding, confident, but can be arrogant or self-centered. As in nature, fire signs are most compatible with air signs.
Air
-
The air signs of the zodiac are Gemini (May 21 - June 21), Libra (September 23 - October 22), and Aquarius (January 20 - February 18). An air sign personality is vocal, rational, objective, and hates restrictions. They are most compatible with fire signs.
-
Water
-
The water signs of the zodiac are Cancer (June 22 - July 22), Scorpio (October 23 - November 21), and Pisces (February 19 - March 20). Water sign personalities are said to be very deep emotionally, tend to be secretive, and are prone to compulsive behaviors. Water signs are not compatible with fire or air signs, but Earth signs provide them with stability.
Earth
-
The Earth signs of the zodiac are Taurus (April 20 - May 20), Virgo (August 23 - September 22), and Capricorn (December 22 - January 19). Earth sign personalities are rigid, stubborn, inquisitive, and cautious. Earth signs are most intrigued by the ways of the air sign, but are most compatible with water.
Same Sign Combination
-
People with the same zodiac sign are not compatible with each other because they can become too comfortable with one another, hindering them from balance and growth.
