The Definition of Refurbish
The term refurbish refers to the process of making something clean, bright and fresh again. Often times, refurbishing involves renovating and restoring "old" and "used" things into a like-new condition or appearance.

Refurbished items and products are not allowed to be sold as new items, even if they look as good as new. For this reason, it must be labeled as refurbished or refreshed.

Some refurbished items may still have dents, scratches, or other forms of outer damages that don't affect the overall performance of the manufactured goods. For instance, some customers return items because of circumstance unrelated to the good itself. Othertimes, they may have just changed their mind about a particular product.

Most refurbished goods are sold at cheaper prices than new prices. Often times, they are given away as donations to schools or charities.
