Can You Use Botox If You've Had Fraxel Laser Peels?
Botox temporally reduces frown lines and Fraxel uses lasers to erase wrinkles. While the two treatments work well together, they are two entirely different processes that address different issues. Does this Spark an idea?

Features
-
Botox relaxes furrows in the face. Botox uses Botulinum Toxin Type A, which is injected into furrows in the forehead, crows feet and between brows to cause lines to relax. Fraxel offers two different laser frequencies that address fine wrinkles or deeper wrinkles without the traditional long recovery of CO2 lasers.
Benefits
-
Wrinkles can be eliminated. Because Botox and Fraxel address different issues and are administered differently, they can be given during the same session. Botox can actually accentuate the Fraxel treatment by smoothing deep wrinkles Fraxel can not address.

Dynamic Wrinkles
-
Sun damage and age cause wrinkles. Wrinkles caused by facial movement, such as frowning, can be relaxed or even erased if caught early. Botox can weaken the muscles and smooth the lines.
Static Wrinkles
-
Lasers address sun damage. Wrinkles that are visible while the face is relaxed, are static wrinkles. This type of wrinkle is caused by sun damage, time and genetics. Lasers work well on these wrinkles.
Wrinkle Folds
-
Injectables and lasers soften wrinkles. Wrinkle folds are most often caused by sagging of the underlying facial structures. The most notable are naso-labial grooves that can be addressed with fillers or a face lift.
