    Types

    • According to the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the red light laser, yellow light laser, erbium laser and carbon dioxide laser can be used in dermasurgery.

    How it works

    • As laser light passes through the skin it's absorbed by the colored pigment cells. The cells break into microscopic particles, which are expelled by the body's immune system.

    Warning
