Real Job vs. Temp Agency
A "real job" is when you work on a permanent basis for an employer. You have the intention of long-term employment and an opportunity for advancement within the same organization. A temporary agency is an organization that places you in a job within another company, where you work for a certain, usually limited, period of time. You are still employed by the temp agency until you land a job where you can build stability. There are strengths and weaknesses in both types of employment.

The disadvantage of a temporary agency is that you're not rooted in any particular field so it leaves little room for long-term career advancement. In addition, there may be times when you're waiting a longer period of time for employment than those who apply for non-temporary jobs. Also, most temporary agencies don't offer benefits such as health insurance.
