Progressive liberalism stands for equitable justice; health, economic, education. Progressives passionately defend the "commons" from corruption and manipulation by groups who use their power and influence to satisfy their own greed by depriving others of their rights. Progressives are the opposite of the Bomb, Buy and B.S. types who favor the strict daddy state, otherwise known as neo feudalism and fascism.

"Individual freedom is at the heart of progressive philosophy." That is a complete fabrication. Progressive and liberal ideology is for the expansion of government and social entitlement programs, more regulations, less freedoms. Progressivism is essentially the proponent for a nanny State.
