Common side effects of atropine eye drops include irritation, conjunctivitis, inflammation of the lining of the eye, eye swelling, blurring of vision, watery eyes and increased pressure inside the eye.

Do not drive or operate heavy machinery unless you are able to see clearly after taking atropine eye drops. Sunglasses may be provided after your test in order to minimize heightened sensitivity to light.
