Some side effects associated with the use of Refresh eye drops are temporary increase in pupil size, burning or stinging of the eye.
Serious Side Effects
Discontinue use of Refresh eye drops and consult your doctor if any of the following serious side effects occur: vision changes, worsening of eye irritation or eye pain.
Do not use Refresh eye drops if they are cloudy or change color. Do not use this medication for more than 3 days, or as directed by your doctor. This product may be harmful if swallowed. Refresh eye drops are not recommended for use in children or nursing mothers.
Contact your doctor immediately if you experience hives, rash, difficulty breathing, tightness of the chest, swelling of the face or tongue or wheezing after using this product. This may be a sign of a life-threatening allergic reaction, which may require emergency care.
