Side Effects of Refresh Eye Drops

Refresh eye drops are a medication that helps to relieve red, dry eyes. There are some side effects that are associated with the use of Refresh eye drops.

  1. Identification

    • Refresh eye drops are a combination of a decongestant medication and a lubricant. This medication works by constricting blood vessels in the eye, which reduces redness. The lubricant has a moisturizing effect, which relieves dry eyes.

    Effects

    • Some side effects associated with the use of Refresh eye drops are temporary increase in pupil size, burning or stinging of the eye.

    Serious Side Effects

    • Discontinue use of Refresh eye drops and consult your doctor if any of the following serious side effects occur: vision changes, worsening of eye irritation or eye pain.

    Considerations

    • Do not use Refresh eye drops if they are cloudy or change color. Do not use this medication for more than 3 days, or as directed by your doctor. This product may be harmful if swallowed. Refresh eye drops are not recommended for use in children or nursing mothers.

    Warning

    • Contact your doctor immediately if you experience hives, rash, difficulty breathing, tightness of the chest, swelling of the face or tongue or wheezing after using this product. This may be a sign of a life-threatening allergic reaction, which may require emergency care.
