All types of skateboarding tricks can be performed on fingerboards, allowing users of all skill levels to have fun.

Skateboarding has long been and continues to be a popular sport. Today, skaters can practice a difficult trick from the comforts of their living room, thanks to the creation of fingerboards.

  1. History

    • In 1998, the Tech Deck was born when 12-year-old Steve Asher created the first rideable fingerboard to practice his tricks on a rainy day. A fingerboard is a mini toy version of a skateboard that includes wheels that move and is operated with two fingers.

    Types

    • Tech Deck sells 96 mm or 57 mm fingerboards. There is also a 26 cm handboard available. Mini ramps and accessories to build a fingerboard skatepark are also available.

    Features

    • A Tech Deck has a plastic board, metal trucks, grip tape, custom graphics and graphic wheels. Collectible wood boards are also available.

    Benefits

    • Using a Tech Deck fingerboard, inexperienced skaters can learn the basics of mastering a trick. A Tech Deck fingerboard allows avid skaters to keep on skating even when the weather conditions are less than desirable.

    Fun Fact

    • The first fingerboard was made out of cardboard and a disassembled toy car. Fingerboards later became a novelty keychain. XConcepts manufactured the first Tech Deck rideable fingerboard.
