Spondylosis Arthritis in Children
Spondylosis arthritis, referred to as just spondylosis, is a pain that occurs in the back when a vertebra is displaced. According to Spine Universe, spondylosis mostly affects people over the age of 40, but can affect children as well.

Children with spondylosis arthritis will have neck, back, arm and leg pain. They will have muscle weakness and difficulty moving.
Causes

Spondylosis arthritis in children is caused by the back being hyperextended. Children who participate in sports in which the back bends backward, such as gymnastics, are most at risk.

To identify spondylosis, a doctor will examine the back and perform an X-ray to check the spine for abnormalities.
Treatment

Treatment for spondylosis arthritis includes braces and physical therapy. Medications to relieve pain and swelling, such as ibuprofen, may also be administered depending on the extent of the condition.

To prevent spondylosis arthritis in children, they should take caution when participating in activities where the back is hyperextended.
