- Make sure your computer meets the system requirements test before installing it on your computer. BearShare is only available for Windows operating systems XP and higher, and it works best with 128MB and more of RAM and a minimum of 233MHz processor speed. You also need Windows Media Player 9 or higher.
- When you launch BearShare for the first time, you must create a free account before you can begin searching for and downloading media content.
- Search for the content you want using the "Search" tool. You can search for content by title, artists, songs and videos. Download the media files you want to the BearShare library once you find exactly what you are looking for.
- The "My Library" tool integrated on the BearShare application makes it easy to locate downloaded content. It is located on the left panel of the application. Clicking the tool displays downloaded content on the right panel.
- Downloading protected music or video content from BearShare can be a copyright infringement. You risk getting into legal trouble with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA); therefore, download at your own risk.
