There are several different kinds of candy mints.

There are hundreds of different candy mints on the market, in thousands of flavors. They are so versatile, you can use them for almost any occasion. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Soft Mints

    • The soft mints are typically found at parties such as baby or bridal showers, or even at wedding receptions. They are pastel blue, pink, yellow and white, and seem to just melt in your mouth.

    Starlight Mints

    • Starlight mints are a hard round candy with red stripes around the edges. Most often eaten after a meal, they are good at cleansing the palate. You will most often find them in restaurants.

    Lifesaver Mints

    • Lifesavers were introduced in 1912 and have remained a favorite since then. Although they now come in many different flavors, the original mint is still a big seller.

    Junior Mints

    • Junior Mints were first produced in 1949. They are little, round, soft discs covered in chocolate. They are most often consumed at the movie theater while watching a movie. This flavor combination of mint and chocolate spawned many other foods such as Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream.

    Andes Mints

    • Most people associate these mints with hotels, as they used to be put on pillows in upscale hotels and are often still placed on the pillow on a cruise ship. It was a nice treat right before bed.
