Tempur-Pedic Warranty Information

Tempur-Pedic mattresses are made of a pressure-relieving material inspired by technology developed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). These mattresses were originally manufactured by a Swedish company and carry warranties in case of defects.

Function

The Temper-Pedic warranty offers consumers free or prorated product repair if a product is defective. Products may also be replaced under the warranty if they cannot be repaired.

Types

Tempur-Pedic offers warranties for its mattresses, furniture, pillows, cushions, mattress overlays and linens. Warranties may include full coverage, prorated coverage or a combination of both.

Conditions

The warranty will be honored if the product defect is due to faulty materials or workmanship. If a product is sent to the manufacturer for warranty repair and the defect is not deemed to be the fault of the manufacturer, the consumer must pay the full shipping costs.

Time Frame

Mattresses and furniture hold a 20-year warranty. Pillows and cushions are guaranteed for three years, while mattress overlays hold a five-year warranty. Linens have a one-year warranty.

Exclusions

The warranty does not cover an increase in softness of mattresses. The company maintains that an increase in softness does not affect its effectiveness at relieving pressure.
