Chaste tree is an herb that is mainly used to effectively address many common women's health problems including menstrual cramps, pre-menstrual symptoms and menopausal symptoms. Chaste tree, which is also known as Vitex, has been effectively used for centuries.

    Helps Excessive Bleeding During Menstruation

  1. When progesterone levels are low it leads to heavy periods, lack of periods, frequent periods, infertility and other irregularities. The flavonoids found in chaste tree supplements help alleviate these irregularities by increasing progesterone levels.
  2. Eases PMS and Other Common Symptoms

  3. Chaste tree berry is known to be a very effective treatment for many common pre-menstrual symptoms (PMS) which include mood swings, water retention, anxiety, irritability, fatigue, headaches, breast swelling and bloating.
  4. Alleviates Menopausal Symptoms

  5. Vitex is commonly used to help reduce and stabilize menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, depression, weight gain, sweating, vaginal dryness and fatigue. Black Cohosh or Dong Quai is often taken with chaste tree supplements to treat these symptoms.
  6. Helps Treat Hormonal Acne

  7. During menstruation female hormones become unbalanced and in some women acne develops. In some cases, chaste berry supplements have effectively treated acne by balancing hormone levels. In one study, women's acne was improved or eliminated.
  8. Side Effects and Cautions

  9. Side effects are few and the most common include nausea, itching and in rare cases it causes heavy menstrual flow. But, in general, chaste tree supplements are well tolerated. Chaste tree is not recommended for pregnant women. Also, consult a doctor before use if you have any of the following health issues: hormone problems, Parkinson's Disease, psychiatric problems, or any allergies.
