Testosterone injections can potentially invoke such bodily changes as increasing hair growth, increasing bone density, increasing libido and increasing energy. But the benefits of testosterone injections also come with drawbacks.

    Benefits

  1. Testosterone injections can potentially lead to benefits such as increased libido, hair growth, increased bone density and muscle mass. These benefits come with the drawback of inducing people who do not necessarily need more testosterone to take injections anyway.
  2. Side Effects

  3. Testosterone injections can cause several negative side effects including baldness, acne, shrinking of the testicles and the formation of breast tissue.
  4. Cancer

  5. Testosterone injections should not be taken by people who have prostate cancer since they may cause the cancer to grow more quickly.
  6. Sterilization

  7. Needles are needed to administer testosterone injections and if needles are used by more than one person, they can transmit viruses such as HIV if not properly sterilized
  8. Considerations

  9. All of the health impacts of testosterone injections are not likely known; unless a doctor expressly recommends testosterone therapy, it is safest to avoid taking testosterone injections.
