    Considerations

    • To figure out the amount of herb or spice to give your dog, take the weight of your dog and divide it by the weight of an average person, which is 150 pounds. For example, if your dog weighs 30 pounds, the formula is 30 divided 150, that is 20 percent of the adult dose on the recommended your dog receives.

    Warning

    • Do not give dogs onions since they are toxic. Most dogs will not eat an onion by itself, but if it is mixed with something else, it is possible it could be consumed by accident.
