Morning sickness ranges from mildly inconvenient all the way to unbearable and unrelenting. No matter the severity of the nausea during pregnancy, many women are looking for cures that do not involve popping pills.

    Purpose

  1. While several anti-nausea medications can be taken during pregnancy, many expectant mothers do not feel comfortable with the idea of taking pills during pregnancy.
  2. Benefits

  3. Treating nausea naturally ensures that there are no harmful side effects on the growing fetus. This gives the pregnant woman peace of mind and the reduction in stress supports a healthy pregnancy.
  4. Ginger and Peppermint

  5. Ginger and peppermint both help settle the stomach. Ginger candy made especially for morning sickness can be purchases at baby specialty stores. Hard peppermint candies also calm nausea.
  6. Nighttime Meals

  7. Many women claim that morning sickness and nausea disappear if they eat very small meals every three to four hours. Set the alarm and wake up in the middle of the night to eat as well. Waking up very hungry seems to cause morning sickness for many pregnant women.
  8. Extreme Cases

  9. Sometimes morning sickness becomes serious. If your doctor diagnoses you with hyperemesis gravidarum, you will probably need medication. In this case, the risk of side effects is outweighed by your risk of dehydration and serious health problems.
