If your doctor has prescribed a monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor, you will need to eliminate foods high in tyramine from your diet or risk a dangerous elevation of your blood pressure.

  1. Tyramine

    Fruits and Vegetables

    • Avoid avocados.
