er ... carbonisation is how they make charcoal ... and I would NOT want to crochet with a bit of that!!! I guess this sort of "carbonisation" is actually something totally different ... I would be interested to know just WHAT they do to the bamboo b4 I even thought about buying one ... (that, and I am kind of curious, from a science geeks' point of view, how they "carbonise" them to make them stronger ;-)
