  1. Diagnosis

Therefore, it is important to inform your physician if you are experiencing the physical components of the syndrome, which separate it from GAD.

    Symptoms

    • WrongDiagnosis.com states that the symptoms of anxiety-tension syndrome include, but are not limited to, fatigue, a sense of doom, difficulty relaxing, depression, tight throat, tense neck muscles, rapid heart rate, agitation, dizziness, sweating, bowel issues, and tense muscles throughout the body.

    Lifestyle Changes

    • One of the safest and most effective ways to combat anxiety is through a healthy diet and regular exercise. Incorporating these into your lifestyle may help minimize the negative impact that anxiety can have on the body.

    Medication

    • The medicinal route taken with anxiety-tension syndrome can include antidepressants, benzodiazepines or other anti-anxiety medications, as well as mild muscle relaxers or anti-seizure medications.

    Treatment Options

    • Little research has been done about this condition and treatment options may reflect this fact. Educating yourself and finding a doctor who is familiar with this syndrome may be the best route to beginning effective treatment.
