Napa Valley Tours & Transportation
Visiting the Napa Valley provides the opportunity to taste award-winning wines. Fortunately, there are a variety of options when it comes to tours and transportation, making it easy to leave the driving to someone else.
-
Getting There
-
Some tours begin in San Francisco, but for most, you need to drive or ferry to the Napa Valley. There is a small airport in nearby Santa Rosa if you prefer to fly.
Shuttle
-
Shuttles range in size from small vans to large buses or motor coaches. A benefit to shuttle transportation is the price often includes picnic lunches and tasting fees, as well as a knowledgeable guide for the less experienced tourist.
-
Limousine
-
There are a multitude of limousine options, including everything from classic convertibles to hummers. Primarily designed for private tours, taking a chauffeured limousine or sedan allows you more input into which wineries you'd like to visit.
Train
-
Picking up in the city of Napa, the Napa Valley Wine Train takes visitors on a scenic ride through the valley and includes a gourmet meal during the three-hour journey.
Bike
-
For the adventurous, there are both guided and self-guided winery tours available by bike. Rentals are provided and they will even deliver your lunch to the winery of your choice.
