Limb Elevation

Keeping the affected limb elevated above the heart (if possible) is recommended.

Keflex

Keflex (cephalexin) is an antibiotic of the penicillin family. It is used to treat infections caused by bacteria. It is effective against cellulitis, ear infections and respiratory infections.
Series Infection

Those with serious infections treat cellulitis with intravenous antibiotics such as nafcillin.
Untreated

If left untreated, cellulitis can become life threatening. Infections of the blood and lymph nodes can occur.
Keflex Usage

Keflex is available in tablet form. It should not be used if you are allergic to cephalexin (for example Ceclor or Spectracef). Dosage and prescription length should be dictated only by your doctor. Taking more than what is recommended can be dangerous.
