What Do I Put on a Hostess Party Invitation?
One of the most important jobs of any party hostess is to address and send invitations to the guest list. Whether the event is a casual get-together or a formal black-tie affair, there are key pieces of information every guest needs to know. Does this Spark an idea?

Names

Identify the guest or guests of honor and the hostess or hostesses by first and last name.
Occasion

Explain the reason for the occasion. Specify if this is a birthday party, anniversary party, plasticware party, baby shower, bridal shower, etc.

Date and Time

Give the full date including day of the week and calendar date of the event. Include the start and end time of the event, including a.m. or p.m. for both, regardless of how obvious these specifications might seem.
Location

State the address of the event including street address, city and zip code.
R.S.V.P.

Request that guests respond by a certain date and include the phone number of the hostess in charge of the guest list. Include an email address if guests can contact the hostess online.
Special Instructions

Include any special instructions guests might need to know about the event. This would be an appropriate place to mention parking, event formality or what to bring to the party.
