-
Thin set tends to be less expensive and faster to apply than other methods used to tile surfaces.

Preparation
-

Considerations
-
Thin set will follow the surface's contours Thin set will not level surfaces. Thin set follows the contours of the surface. Thin set will not be able to compensate for high and low spots on the surface that can lead to uneven pressure on the surface and eventually to cracked tiles.
Types
-
Thin set is available in a wide range of strengths according to the substrate where you will use the thin set. Different companies produce several different types of thin set that vary along the lines of drying times, bonding properties, water resistance and shrinkage factors when applying the thin set in a thicker application.
